Frequently Asked Questions

The Pallay Punchu Tour typically includes round-trip transportation from Cusco and a professional tour guide. Depending on your package, breakfast and lunch may also be included. Entrance fees and personal expenses may not be covered, so we recommend checking the details of your tour before booking.

The Pallay Punchu hike is considered moderate to challenging due to the high altitude and steep sections of the trail. A reasonable level of fitness and time to acclimatize in Cusco are recommended. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, walk at a steady pace, and follow your guide's instructions throughout the hike.

The Pallay Punchu Tour is a full-day excursion that usually takes approximately 10 to 12 hours, including transportation from Cusco and time for hiking and sightseeing. The duration may vary depending on road conditions, weather, and the pace of the group.

We recommend bringing comfortable hiking shoes, warm clothing, a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a reusable water bottle. The weather in the Andes can change quickly, so dressing in layers is important. You may also want to bring snacks, cash for personal expenses, and a camera to capture the colorful mountain scenery.

The best time to visit Pallay Punchu is generally during the dry season, from May to September, when skies are often clearer and hiking conditions may be better. From November to March, rainfall can make the trails slippery and visibility less predictable. However, weather conditions in the Andes can change throughout the year, so we recommend checking the forecast before your trip.
